This is a plain-words draft. A lawyer has not reviewed it yet.
The short version
- No accounts, no sign-up, no email list.
- No cookies.
- We never see your private key or seed phrase.
- We count visits and button presses, with no user ID.
- We do not sell personal data, and we show no ads.
1. What we do not collect
We do not ask for your name, email, phone number or ID. You cannot make an account with us. The site sets no cookies. We do not use advertising or tracking pixels.
2. What we count, and why
We want to know which pages and links people use, so we can make Plover better.
- Counters. The site adds 1 to a simple counter when a page loads, and when you press some buttons (for example Swap). A counter is a name and a number. It holds no user ID. If you came from a link with a `?ref=` tag (for example `?ref=tg`), that short tag becomes part of the counter name. We store nothing else about your visit.
- The counters run on abacus.jasoncameron.dev, a free outside service. Your browser calls it directly, so that service sees your IP address and browser type. We do not know how long it keeps them.
- Cloudflare. Cloudflare hosts the site. Like any web host, it sees your IP address, browser type and the page you ask for, under its own policy. On plover.markets, Cloudflare Web Analytics also runs. It uses no cookies and gives us totals only.
- Our API (api.plover.markets) serves prices, charts, token lists and icons. Our code does not log your requests or your IP address. The hosting platform may keep its own logs.
3. Your wallet address
When you connect a wallet on the swap page, the page reads your public wallet address. It sends that address to Jupiter to show your balances and to build your swap. A wallet address is public on the blockchain, and so is every swap you make. We do not store your address on our servers.
4. What stays on your device
The swap page saves a few things in your browser's local storage. They stay on your device, and we do not receive them:
- cached chart prices for tokens you viewed;
- the last known price, so dollar amounts work;
- the swaps you made on this page (keyed by the first 10 characters of your wallet address), so the page can show gain or loss;
- a small test value and an old, unused counter.
Some token lookups and the token list are kept only until you close the tab. You can delete all of this at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
5. Telegram
Our channel @plover_alerts is public. We do not store the list of subscribers; we read only the total count. If you use our bot @plover_alerts_bot in inline mode, Telegram gives the bot your query text and your Telegram user ID, and we log them to see how the bot is used. Telegram's own privacy policy applies to everything you do in Telegram.
6. Outside services your browser talks to
To show prices and run swaps, your browser calls these services directly. Each has its own privacy policy:
- Jupiter (quotes, swaps, balances, token search, prices, icons)
- GeckoTerminal and DexScreener (charts, volume, market cap)
- Kraken and Coinbase (price history for major coins)
- abacus.jasoncameron.dev (counters)
- Token logo hosts (GitHub, Arweave, IPFS gateways)
- Cloudflare (hosting and analytics)
- Your wallet app
Links to Telegram, X, Solscan, Phantom, Solflare and Jupiter send nothing until you tap them.
7. Selling and sharing
We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. We do not share it with advertisers. We share nothing beyond what the services above see when your browser calls them.
8. Children
Plover is not for anyone under 18.
9. Changes
If we change what we collect, we update this page and the date at the top.
10. Who we are and contact
Plover is run by [legal entity name — to be supplied], based in [jurisdiction — to be supplied].
